Rue Collinge was awarded a Distinction for her Masters in Creative Writing from Newcastle University in 2019, and was nominated Student Orator for the Awards Ceremony. She graduated with First Class Honours from her Undergraduate at the University of Sunderland, at the top of her class.

Since then, she has performed nationally for the BBC, was a semi-finalist in BBC Words First, has appeared on the radio, and has headlined festivals as a spoken word artist. She was the UK Online Slam Champion for Oooh Beehive in 2020. Deeply passionate about the local grassroots literary scene, she performs regularly across the North-East.

She won the Philip Larkin Poetry Prize in 2020, and is a Pushcart and Forward Prize Nominee. She is published in numerous magazines and anthologies.

She is a Director & Editor of Fragmented Voices, an international press based in Newcastle, UK, and Prague, Czech Republic.
